Lincoln from the West End to the Cliff villages
The city divides itself in two. Uphill is the cathedral, Burton Road and Nettleham Road (LN1 and LN2); downhill is the High Street, Sincil Bank and Boultham (LN5), with the West End terraces off Carholme Road and the Brayford in LN1 and the Ermine and St Giles estates in LN2. West of the bypass LN6 takes in Birchwood, Hartsholme and Swanpool, then North and South Hykeham, Skellingthorpe and Doddington; Saxilby and Burton Waters sit in LN1. East of the river are Cherry Willingham, Reepham and Fiskerton (LN3); south on the Cliff, Bracebridge Heath, Washingborough, Branston and Metheringham (LN4) and Waddington, Harmston and Navenby (LN5); north, Nettleham, Welton and Dunholme (LN2). All six districts are priced together here, every one at free collection.
Terraces downhill, drives in the villages
Most city collections are off the street. The terraces either side of Monks Road, around Sincil Bank and in the West End leave little room, so tell us where the car is and whether it rolls and the collector sends a lorry that fits, with a winch for a car that has not moved since last winter. Off-street at Birchwood, on a drive in North Hykeham or outside a cottage in Waddington is simpler still. Steep Hill and the uphill one-way streets are worth a note when you book, and so is a permit-parking street near the university.
Vans from the estates and the farms
Allenby Road, Outer Circle Road, Whisby Road, Teal Park and Witham St Hughs retire vans and pick-ups every week, and the farms along the Fosse Way and out towards Horncastle do the same. Vans up to 3.5 tonnes go at the same free collection, are weighed properly at the yard, and a business can have an invoice for the books.
One price, paid within 24 hours
The figure on screen is the yard’s own offer: your car’s weight against the metal rate on the day, adjusted for what you tell us about it, with nothing taken off at the kerb unless the car is not as described. The money reaches your bank within 24 hours of collection. A failed MOT, a non-runner, accident damage or a missing V5C shifts the figure, never the answer, and a licensed yard recycles the car afterwards.
Questions
What people in Lincoln ask
Which parts of Lincoln does this page cover?
All of LN1 to LN6: the city uphill and downhill, the West End, Ermine, St Giles, Boultham, Birchwood, Hartsholme, North and South Hykeham, Skellingthorpe, Saxilby, Bracebridge Heath, Washingborough, Branston, Waddington, Navenby, Nettleham, Welton, Cherry Willingham and Fiskerton. Enter your postcode and the site confirms it with today’s price.
The car is on a terrace off Monks Road with no drive. Can it still go?
Yes — kerbside is the normal Lincoln collection. Say which street and whether the car rolls when you book, and the collector brings a lorry that fits the street; a winch is no trouble if it has not moved for a while.
How quickly can a car in Lincoln be collected?
Usually within two working days. Once you accept the price the yard rings to agree a day, and the driver rings again before setting off. North Hykeham, Waddington and Nettleham go on the same runs as the city.
Do you collect from the villages on the Cliff and out towards Newark?
Yes. Waddington, Harmston, Navenby, Metheringham, Witham St Hughs and Thorpe on the Hill are all in LN4 to LN6 and priced on this page. A village outside LN1 to LN6 gets its own price the moment you enter the postcode.
