Scrap my car in Surrey
From Farnham on the Hampshire border to Caterham inside the M25, Surrey is drives, gates and lanes rather than terraces, and more cars that are newer than their MOT history suggests. The collectors are licensed yards reaching the county from the M25, the A3 and the M3, and the site prices your car against every one of them covering your postcode.

Reached from three motorways
The M25 runs across the top of the county, the A3 and the M3 cut through it, so a Surrey car can be quoted by yards from the London side, the Hampshire side and the Sussex side. The site shows the best price a licensed collector will pay for your district and that yard collects, usually within one to three days of your accepting. Coverage follows which yards are on the network at the time: enter your postcode and the site tells you straight away whether a collector covers it, before you accept anything.
The towns
Guildford, Godalming and Farnham on the west side with the Surrey Hills villages behind them; Woking, Camberley and the Elmbridge towns — Walton, Weybridge, Esher and Cobham — between the A3 and the M3; Staines, Ashford and Egham against Heathrow; Epsom, Leatherhead and Dorking down the A24; Redhill, Reigate, Horley and Caterham on the east side by the M25. Each town page below says which postcode districts it covers and what to tell the driver about where the car is.
Newer cars, bigger faults
Surrey scraps fewer worn-out bangers than most counties and more cars with one expensive problem: a five-year-old saloon with a failed gearbox, an SUV written off in a car park, a convertible that has sat under a cover for years. Those are priced on what they are — repair value, parts, the catalytic converter, the alloys — not only on weight, and the price page shows the difference. Damaged cars, MOT failures, non-runners and vans are all priced the same way, by weight, make, age and what is still fitted, with the winch included.
The rules, wherever the yard is
Every collector on the network is an Authorised Treatment Facility. The driver checks photo ID and proof of address for the registered keeper, the yard pays by bank transfer within 24 hours of collection — cash for scrap has been illegal in England since 2013 — and issues the Certificate of Destruction so the DVLA knows the car is gone. Lost the V5C? The ID check covers it.

Questions people in Surrey ask us
Do you cover the whole of Surrey?
The site quotes any Surrey postcode and tells you straight away whether a collector on the network covers it. Coverage follows which licensed yards are signed up at the time, so the answer is always for your street today, not a county-wide promise.
My car is newer than the ones a scrap yard usually takes. Is this the right place?
Enter the registration and see. A newer car with a single big fault or accident damage is priced for its parts and repair value, and the figure is usually well above plain scrap weight.
Can a car be collected from a gated road or a private estate?
Yes, with the gate code or someone to let the driver in. The registered keeper, or someone with their ID and proof of address, has to be there to hand the car over anyway.
How quickly is a car collected in Surrey?
Where a yard covers the postcode, usually within one to three days of accepting the price; the far villages can be a day or two longer while the yard groups the run. The collector rings to agree the day.
